A TENURE TO GIVE BACK TO THE SOCIETY - OYEGBILE OLAJIDE SAMUEL (JBLAZE)
Its okay for us to be a doctor but its better for us to be an empathetic doctor who contributes more to the society, more than is asked for or required, during my tenure as president, i would also like to
stimulate the donation of blood amidst students to the hospital, for those in BUTH and also in IWO, strategies would be put in place to make this possible
Also to let student doctors, accompanied by qualified doctors to discuss and sensitize the people about blood donation, in which we all go out and explain to people and urge them to donate, this way people would know their blood groups, HIV status and also advice can be given, as before giving blood, all this tests would be carried out to see that he/she is compatible, at the same time we can use this medium to reach out to sick individual who does not have the slightest idea of them being sick.
this is just one of the many ways we would be giving back to the society, now the question arises, have i done same?
YES i have and it really feels good, amidst other advantages, you would first be screened if you would be a suitable donor, so it is safe, your PCV, BLOOD GROUP, HIV STATUS, HEPATITIS TEST would be done
i am a man of action, and i believe in possibilities, thus if i cant do something i would not say i would, be active, not passive, and note its not compulsory.
this amidst many more, kindly understand why i cant put all my agenda out here.

The Journey So Far
I Oyegbile Olajide Samuel have worked to an extent with BAMS and contributed the little i could
First by being the SOCIAL DIRECTOR ELECT FOR 2years. Which by Gods grace and by my mini judgment have done it so well that it feels like i cant do anything different from socials. Yes it helped build me socially but the truth is you trusted me, you gave me your votes then, and i delivered. I did the little i could within my power. And as well wished it could have been more, sacrifices were made and a lot was done neither am i saying someone else couldnt have done better or less, but i am happy i worked and did serve you then. Am also seeking and asking you to grant me the same level of trust you did then, and let me be your PRESIDENT. And i would do it so well that you would all say he cant do anything other than being a PRESIDENT.
SECONDLY. I ran for presidency two years ago, against the present president and i lost by 1 vote, yeah true it's painful. But i was delighted also, that such a huge number still felt i could do the Job, thus i took it upon my self to help, assist and represent BAMS in as much as i could till date, it was so that many still thought i was an executive, but nope. I only had BAMS at heart, i involved myself in departmental weeks programs both two years ago and now and never intruded or caused any commotion, i was there when i was needed and was there ready to be called even when not needed. I av never been away from BAMS.
3. The making of the BAMS LOGO, don't get me wrong, not saying our former logo wasn't good, because even then i knew how the logo started all from the passion and drive of the first set of BAMS. But i took it upon my self to create a new logo, talked with a designer and paid him to create a new logo which he did, this wasn't a designation of the executive and they could as well decided not to accept it, but the team saw my effort and with accepted the idea, am happy it wasn't just in vain.
4. Making of departmental shirts - true i had connections with people that do stuffs like this and also talked to them, and created samples and showed the executives based on the ideas i thought, did about 5 samples, and none of the cash was of BAMS, so not for once should you think i extorted money from BAMS or the excos, all was from my pocket
5. Association with NIMSA - so far, i have been strongly involved with the NIGERIA MEDICAL STUDENT ASSOCIATION, been to meetings in UCH(Ibadan), ABUAD (ado ekiti), LASUTH (LAGOS), LAUTECH (ogbomosho), and also caucus meetings, and holding responsibilities even though its minor, with logistics planning and the likes, through this medium, i have created a very good relationship with the present PRESIDENT OF THE NIGERIA MEDICAL STUDENT ASSOCIATION and members of his cabinet and also a very strong relationship with the present CACUS chairman, not mentioning other medical school presidents. being in this meetings help made BAMS recognized and we produced the very first BAMS exco in NIMSA which is our present president Ajibade Philip as the southwest regional coordinator. Also this meetings allowed me to meet with the PRESIDENT OF WORLD CHANGERS INTERNATIONAL (WCI) in NIGERIA and made a mark with him letting him know about BAMS, also being to several of his meeting
The truth is i really can go on and on, but this is just a few.
All this were done with me as just a member of BAMS which i took upon myself to REPRESENT BAMS. Such drive and motivation was all my doing and not influenced by the present cabinet or the former, and personal expenses were used also.
MORE THAN ENOUGH CAN STILL BE DONE, YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE, YOU CAN PARTICIPATE, YOU CAN BE INVOLVED, YOU DONT HAVE TO BE NAMED A REPRESENTATIVE OF BAMS BEFORE YOU KNOW YOU ARE ONE.
GOD BLESS YOU,

PROPOSED DINNER FOR CLINICAL STUDENTS
Its painful that so far we haven't held a single dinner in the clinical wing of BAMS but yet highly understandable, due to the fact that the departments purse isnt large enough, the amount of students we have in BUTH isnt much, but in my forth coming tenure if voted in as the president, I Oyegbile Olajide Samuel (Jblaze) would do my best to create a form of dinner that would cost us as little as possible but yet as efficient and effective as possible.
doing something different, and yet i must say, i cant do it alone and would still sit with the team and committee in charge and if a better idea is pitched would gladly accept and implement, but one thing am keen about is something must happen, yes SOMETHING MUST HAPPEN.
I personally suggest a night lantern form of dinner either electric lights or use of kerosene powered lanterns, a sitting arrangements (realistically depends on costs), a sound system, some forms of presentations, music and the rest both from the students of BAMS and from outside
I cant promise the likes of D BANJ, DAVIDO etc, but with my connections as a highly social person, i would try to bring some entertainers to also perform some songs to us at little or no costs.
Time of event would be around 7pm till 10pm , proposed venue would be any plain field suitable enough for your highly esteemed class of individuals such as you.

follow up with this blog as more and more of my thoughts would be expressed here, pending the manifesto day. GOD BLESS YOU
