The Journey So Far

I Oyegbile Olajide Samuel have worked to an extent with BAMS and contributed the little i could
First by being the SOCIAL DIRECTOR ELECT FOR 2years. Which by Gods grace and by my mini judgment have done it so well that it feels like i cant do anything different from socials. Yes it helped build me socially but the truth is you trusted me, you gave me your votes then, and i delivered. I did the little i could within my power. And as well wished it could have been more, sacrifices were made and a lot was done neither am i saying someone else couldnt have done better or less, but i am happy i worked and did serve you then. Am also seeking and asking you to grant me the same level of trust you did then, and let me be your PRESIDENT. And i would do it so well that you would all say he cant do anything other than being a PRESIDENT.

SECONDLY.  I ran for presidency two years ago, against the present president and i lost by 1 vote, yeah true it's painful. But i was delighted also, that such a huge number still felt i could do the Job, thus i took it upon my self to help, assist and represent BAMS in as much as i could till date, it was so that many still thought i was an executive, but nope. I only had BAMS at heart, i involved myself in departmental weeks programs both two years ago and now and never intruded or caused any commotion, i was there when i was needed and was there ready to be called even when not needed. I av never been away from BAMS.

3. The making of the BAMS LOGO, don't get me wrong, not saying our former logo wasn't good, because even then i knew how the logo started all from the passion and drive of the first set of BAMS. But i took it upon my self to create a new logo, talked with a designer and paid him to create a new logo which he did, this wasn't a designation of the executive and they could as well decided not to accept it, but the team saw my effort and with accepted the idea, am happy it wasn't just in vain.

4. Making of departmental shirts - true i had connections with people that do stuffs like this and also talked to them, and created samples and showed the executives based on the ideas i thought, did about 5 samples, and none of the cash was of BAMS, so not for once should you think i extorted money from BAMS or the excos, all was from my pocket

5. Association with NIMSA - so far, i have been strongly involved with the NIGERIA MEDICAL STUDENT ASSOCIATION, been to meetings in UCH(Ibadan), ABUAD (ado ekiti), LASUTH (LAGOS), LAUTECH (ogbomosho), and also caucus meetings, and holding responsibilities even though its minor, with logistics planning and the likes, through this medium, i have created a very good relationship with the present PRESIDENT OF THE NIGERIA MEDICAL STUDENT ASSOCIATION and members of his cabinet and also a very strong relationship with the present CACUS chairman, not mentioning other medical school presidents. being in this meetings help made BAMS recognized and we produced the very first BAMS exco in NIMSA which is our present president Ajibade Philip as the southwest regional coordinator.  Also this meetings allowed me to meet with the PRESIDENT OF WORLD CHANGERS INTERNATIONAL (WCI) in NIGERIA  and made a mark with him letting him know about BAMS, also being to several of his meeting

The truth is i really can go on and on, but this is just a few.
All this were done with me as just a member of BAMS which i took upon myself to REPRESENT BAMS. Such drive and motivation was all my doing and not influenced by the present cabinet or the former, and personal expenses were used also.

MORE THAN ENOUGH CAN STILL BE DONE, YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE, YOU CAN PARTICIPATE, YOU CAN BE INVOLVED, YOU DONT HAVE TO BE NAMED A REPRESENTATIVE OF BAMS BEFORE YOU KNOW YOU ARE ONE.

GOD BLESS YOU,
VOTE FOR PROGRESS AND SYNERGISTIC DEVELOPMENT OF BAMS
VOTE OYEGBILE OLAJIDE
